Correct me if I'm wrong but the only source of unregistered long firearms in Canada is not from criminals. I don't think that the first nations have to register any of their firearms. That may sound like a small technicality but it isn't if you're located near a reserve.

I hate unequal laws. If it's OK for one group in Canada then it should be legal for the rest. Getting rid of the long gun registry would only put people back on an equal footing in that regard.
