You have to just remove the cover by unscrewing the little gold screw on the bottom of the cam. the cover comes off and the mem card is right in the side of the cam. You will have to take the bear box cover off, but you dont need to remove the cam fromthe tree. Hope this help, it is an AWESOME cam.
