Personally I'd pass on the 4x in hopes either the buck or I would be able to get an opportunity. It wouldn't be first season (nor the last I am sure) that I never notched my tag on buck.

If your just out for the meat than a bird in the hand is better than a flock in the bush!!! So make the call that will make you feel good.
