RE: Reflex Super Slam?
I don't think price directly relates to quality/dependability of product.
For anything manufactured. Years ago manufacturers charged for their product according to what it cost them to make it. Hasn't been the case for many years.
Nowadays there is the concept of charging "what the market will bear".
In other words, I think Mathews are way over priced. When I was shopping for a new bow (been shooting 14 years and am now on my third bow), I left money out of the equation. My list of features did not include price.
I chose the Reflex Super Slam. Very pleased! Fast, light, accurate, forgiving, quiet, etc. These were some of the things on my "wish list" of features a new bow had to have. (not neccessarily in that order).
If you're considering the economics of the buy, maybe the Mathews is the way to go, because there is little doubt it's popularity carries a decent resale value.
