At 70# and 29 inch draw the 340's would definitely be the better spine for you. As to getting fletchings to adhere to the slicker surface what I always did was take some 220 sandpaper and just sand the arrow shaft where your fletching would go and then you will have no problems. I used to shoot them also and they are a very good shaft for the price.
