RE: What arrow for my league?
For target shooting at known yardage my favorite is Easton’s XX-78 aluminum. The 78’s are very consistent in weight and are the best in tolerance for being straight. They will not dent as easily as the 75’s and when shooting at spots with other shooters are very resilient taking quite a bit of abuse when impacted by other shooters arrows. I would stay away from hollow carbons if you’re shooting multiple shooters on the same target. Side or slap shots can fracture the carbon and many times will not be noticed by the shooter. This can result in loose fibers being imbedded in your hand when pulling and in extreme cases, fracturing when released. You may want to reevaluate you decision to reduce weight if you are accustomed to shooting 72 lbs. I shoot quite a bit of target and field spots and 72 lbs. is very comfortable. When reducing weight you are also reducing the holding weight at full draw. This tends to increase movement when holding on target. Good Luck and have fun.
