Actually, Remington has recently reintroduced the 130 gr Core-Lokt .270WSM that they had offered two years ago then discontinued. While it probably works okay, I would prefer the bonded Nosler Accubond bullet on deer or anything larger. In my .270WSM, I got good results accuracy wise, with the 130 gr Ballistic Silvertip from Winchester and would not be afraid to use it on whitetail or pronghorn, particularly if I expected the shots to be long. For closer shots or big mule deer (or elk) I would resort to one of the Accubond loads from either Winchester or Federal. (Of course, I load my own, with both the Accubond and Ballistic Tips, so I have both of them covered)

bp, I didn't think Remington made a 270WSM cartridge.Anyway I had good luck this year with the Federal 140 Accubond. I too feel the 130 ballistic tips are too fragile at close range with the velocities of the short mags. Just my opinion.
