They work very well...a number of friends took deer with them(300gr SST's)in their muzzleloaders this year. In fact it is one of the more popular bullets in the Savage smokelesspole.

The Lightfields sighted in dead center at 100 are -4in at 125yds and -10in at 150yds. Most of the current competitors are closer to -3in at 150yds.
