I'd recommend reading "One man, one rifle, one land" by JY Jones. He did it all with the same 30-06. BTW hope you got some deep pockets. The sheep alone could cost $100,000. I've hunted 8 taking 7 but at the high cost of sheep and polar bears, $25,000 - $30,000, 18 to 20 of them is best I can hope for. Which aint bad for a counrty boy from the south.
Good on ya Mark,
but the best advice I could give would be to move to British Columbia. I did. The caliber is much less important.
That way you could hunt grizzly, blackbear, couger
Stone sheep, bighorn sheep, dall sheep (plus california bighorn)
Rocky Mtn elk, Rosy elk, Canada moose
Mtn goat, Moutain caribou, buffalo
Mule deer, whitetail deer, blacktail deer (plus sitka blacktail)
I believe that is 12 of the slam, most just over the counter -unlimited tags. ( and a rifle is ok)
Plus toss in wolves, wolverine, bobcat and lynx, turkey.....................
good luck
