Thank you for your statements - I have been using the product for 6 years now and have never had a problem. But I do not use it in the typical manner.

I agree with everyone that says it is not a "rust preventor" and i agree to much in the barrel is not good and I agree to much in the barrel will effect accuracy.

The point with BB is the it dramatically reduces fouling - allows more shots between swabbing. It is so effective we are using it in the chokes of a trap shotguns to reduce plastic fouling. In my ML's I do not experiance the t7 crud ring and I have never had to use a bore bronze brush to get any kind of fouling out - water, hot water that is it.

The incorrect use by some people has given BB an ill-deserved reputation. IMO
