RE: Charles Dally
I own a CD field model pump in 20 guage/3", it's a good cheap little all around shotgun for small game . Mine has the Hardwoods 3-D dipped finish and cost $200 at Wal-Mart . I don't know about the Winchester chokes as they don't seem to be commonly available here , but Remington chokes fit perfectly . I also use it with an Undertaker turkey choke and it patterns well at 25-30 yards with Federal #4 or #6 shot . Loaded with #7.5 to #8 shot and a modified choke it's a great squirrel buster . I change to the same choke and #6s for rabbit . Recoil is light , very manageable for smaller statured hunters . The only modification that I've made to it was to change out the front bead sight for a Hi-Viz rifle type fiber optic sighting system , my accuracy improved measureably as a result .
