Hey Richard my hat's off to you sound's like from your very proud grandpa that you hit the deer good and you tracked it to the best of your ability,But what ever you do dont give up on hunting it happen's to the best of us keep the faith and learn sound's like your granddad and dad have taught you good on your shooting skill's listen to them and stay focoused,Tracking is no easy thing my friend
I used to work for the DNR as a animal trap and relocate officer and still belong to a group that track for the older hunter's and the handicap hunter's and I have been doing this for 22 year's and beleive me sometime's it's not easy so I hope what I have said help's and that you keep the hunt in your blood and soul good luck
