I imagine the guy at your shop was talking about deer hunting, though there are some mechs that would work for deer atyour draw weight. Smaller ones like the Steelhead, for instance.

Just about any mechanical will workfor turkey with your setup. You don't want passthru hits on turkeys anyway. You want to disable the wings and whack out the vitals. Or take his head off. Anything to keep it on the ground. Turkeys do not leave very good blood trails when they fly off.[&o]

There is a specialtyhead for turkeyI've heard a lot about but haven't had a chance to look at yet. Called theGobbler Guillotine. It's not a mechanical though.
