First off let me start by saying that the two are personal friends of mine and that there work ethic when it comes to this great sport is second to none. To read some of this stuff kind of questions the integrity of some of thepeople writing it. I know for a fact that none of there land was given to them and that they own "AND" lease some of there hunting ground. Few know that Lee has a degree in chemical engineering and had done very well for himself which provided opportunities to purchase his own land and then he started managing itthe last 6 years. In general they have only been enjoying all of the managing for the past couple of years since the first crop of deer when they purchased some of there properties are now at the ripe old age of 6 years old. To question how they get it done is ludicrous without knowing all of the facts. The money and time that they put into there properties every year planting food plots, putting in mineral stations, digging water holes, etc is more than the average hunter is wiling to do and can do. Don't forget all of the farming equipment that they now own because of it is a serious financial investment that most are not willing to invest in.
As far as a gun is concerned, they don't do much of it but Thompson Center jumped on board so why not try to put a good one down with the smokepole???
On a lastnote they do use some outfitters and most of them let them hunt the way they are accustomed to. They go there and put in time and lots of it. Rarely do they go on a hunt and not already have an idea on where to go since they go months early to scout, hang stands, cut shooting lanes etc. It took Lee almost a month to shoot hisbuck inAlberta but you only see what they edit and put on tv. Well, enough rambling if anyone wants to hear how it really is outside of the half hour tv show pm me.
