well, if your not using the open sights ever, you could try removing them if possible. if not, just stick to the high rings. try clicking this link
http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/scopemountingsetting.swfit helped me. it sounds like the rings aren't properly screwed on, make sure that both rings are screwed on and the screws to tighten the ringsaround the scope are even with each other. try looking at the groups every 3-5 shots. also, if you cocked the barrel too the side too much it could make the pellet go off. you should first try sighting in at 15 yards, then try 30 yards. another thing is that the rail could be damaged somehow.
