Basically a little heavier than a 30-30, almost the same as a .35 rem.It was a modern version of the old 38-55.I don't think they chamber guns for this cal(.375) any more? You might have a hard time finding ammo for it. If you want a big bore lever gun go with a 45-70 or .444 Marlin. IMHO
