I had an old XI Legend do that to me as well. At full draw, and KABLOOEY!!! I have quite the scar on my left wrist to show for it too. So I know what you mean about being lucky. Glad you are ok. Sorry about your bow, though. It's like losing a best friend, even if it is a PSE......( parts scattered everywhere).
