I've talked to many people about the 25-06 including gunsmiths and hunters. Everyone i talked to said it was a little bit small and that it should be used for small game, but my personal opinion is that if you have good shot placement and you like the rifle then go for it. I have a ruger myself and i have the .308 compact model that they put out. Its very light and packs a punch!
