buying a 7mm-08? i know its a great caliber but i think i will stick to my 308win its my favorite caliber and its the best of the best in my opion, the 7mm-08 is great caliber but i dont think it will kill like a 308. as far a energy is better for the 7mm-08, i dont really think energy is a great way of telling killing power... there is many factors in killing power then just energy. it shoots flater? for sure but i bet it cant hit with a 308 just askany one that shoots for a livin.lesswind drift maybe,the 260 rem in alot of cases has better energy thenboth the 7mm-08 and 308 but do i think it is really better,i think no... hers a pic of a moose my unkle shot with a 308 at almost 300 yards with a one shoot to put him down
