RE: Sights
I use the Tru-Glo 5000 and 2000. Both are three pin sights but they make a 5 pin one (it just has more pins...same sight) Both of mine have the Tritium glow pin for my 20yd shot. Both are all metal design and the pin guard is one piece (not screwed on to the sight). The only difference is the 5000 is a micro adjustable and the 2000 is not. I like the 2000 better and it's on my mainhunting bow because once I set it I usually don't mess with it ever again unless I change my string. It's light, basic and above all works.
The pins glow just fine. I have found that if hunting in heavy woodedcover the two NON Tritium pins (my 30yd and 40yd pins) will go dark when there is still about 5min of legal hunting time left. It's not a big deal because I can't even see out to 30yds at that timemuch less take a shot. So I can't see how those pins still being lit could help me. The 20yd pin (green one) is Tritium lit and will never go dark, no batteries just stays lit. It allows me to utilize the last few minutes of shooting time. If hunting over an open field all of the pins stay lit till the end of legal hunting hours.
It's light weight and very sturdy. You can buy replacement pins very cheap if you break one (no big spools to replace) and they are not expensive at all. A very quality sight for the money.
Please note that I am only talking hunting sights not3D or comp.
