don't own a tikka YEt but I will in a couple of weeks, that being said I've got an OLD howa308 (20+) that every time I point it at something it dies, if I point it at a target it hits (3/4" @ 100) it's old enough that it's as smooth as my Sako (exellent rifle), Weatherby vanguard are good shooting guns, Charles Daly right now are cheap guns that have a lot of potential, TAKE YOUR PICK there are a lot of "good guns" out there, good luck with your pick
