I agree, many will argue one brand is superior to the other. And many will say, test the bow out and see if you like it first.

Those bows are basically priced to sell. You are exactly right. The new bows are coming in but that doesn't mean the 2005's are flawed. Just like cars, dealers need to make room for the 2006's.

I would suggest you shoot both of the bows first. But also see if you can shoot the Trykon. It doesn't hurt to try and if you can afford the Trykon and like it better than the VTEC or the XTEC, then buy that one. Remember, buying a bow is first finding your price range then finding the bow that fits your personal taste.

If you can only afford $400-$500 price range, then definately look into those bows. If you can afford up to $750 also look at the Trykon. But just because it is more expensive, doesn't necessarily mean you will like that bow. You are just paying for the technology that is specific to that bow.
