The statistics are certainly amazing when you look at them. People fail to realize what an economical giant sportsmen provide. From what I was told: 10% of the people in the nation are pro hunting (take an active part and are for it). 80% of the people in the nation don't have an opinion either way (it is what it is and it doesn't affect them). 10% of the people in the nation are strictly anti-hunting!! So you take all the before mentioned statistics and the $$$ and jobs created by hunting/fishing. That's only by 10 % of the people in the nation making that much of an impact on our economy. As far as the local news and media and lack of exposure.......everyone is scared of the anti-hunting 10%. Can't promote a bunch of maniacs killing everything that moves!!!! unfortunately perception is reality and we are perceived as crazy people going on a killing spree to some people. It is interesting though(if my percentages are correct)that if you take the 10% of pro hunters and the 80% of it doesn't matter people....that's 90% of the nation!!!!! And yet we cater to and are afraid of stepping on the other 10%?????/ Doesn't make sense. The sad thing is you'll never make sense of it to the anti-hunters.
