I have recently purchased a Simms limbsaver recoil pad for my Remingotn 700 bdl in 270 win and the wood stock is curved and the pad will not fit evenwhen it said it would fit my model. It said that I need to have a gunsmith to alter the stock to make it fit and I dont really want to alter my stock any suggestions?
