Default RE: adjustable trigger on my springfield 1911??

Beauty of a gun!

The screw is for adjusting trigger overtravel. It really doesn't do much for you unless you will be using it for bullseye shooting. I simply removed the screw on mine, as I had to have it screwed down pretty deep in order to get the overtravel to stop right after the trigger break. If (a 1911 begs to be taken apart, its an engineering masterpiece!) you take the pistol apart, You'll find the back of the trigger is split aluminum- not much holding that screw in place. I use my pistol primarily for IPSC shooting, and I don't want that screw to work loose and jam up the gun, and for the same reason that I might use it as a carry piece in the future.
