cck, I own both also. I like the bolt throw on the browning - a micro hunter in 7-08. I bought this rifle new and couldn't get it to shoot better than 2". But I liked it and took it to my gunsmith who rebedded it for me. Now it is a good shooter. On the other hand, I have 3 Savages, 1 with the accutrigger and 2 without. But all 3 are tack drivers right out of the box. Heck my 223 model 11FL doesn't care what I stuff it with. My opinion, get the Savage and use the rest of the money for a quality scope.
