The guy is 34 but has only killed one doe. Kinda sounds to me like an unskilled, inexperienced hunter.Maybe, just maybe, you overestimated his abilities. I've seen some some guys that have been hunting for years that still don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. Maybe this guy is an irresponsible jerk but maybe he just needs a good mentor. You obviously didnt think he was a jerk when you put him on your stand.

You did say he was ready to give up on the bloodtrail and thats a bad thing but he did stay with it at your urging. You didnt mention anything else that would indicate a lack of respect for his quarry .

Maybe being silent wasnt the best thing. Tell him that you're not happy and why. His reaction to that will tell youwhether this guy is a true butthole or a good sportsman in the rough that needs a lot more polishing.
