Default RE: Doe killing

The person who owns land across the road from me recently had his land searched by the game warden. He was suspected of shooting all sort of deer and throwing them in gulleys. The game warden found nothing. It turns out that it was a rumor started by a neighbor who resents the fact that this guy is an "out-of-stater" who bought the land for deer hunting.
I'm not saying that your story isn't true, but its always best to be positive in such instances. In Illinois, they have recently increased the number of deer that people can take, but the population is still growing. I think that they need thinning, not to increase the number of big bucks, but because they are becoming a nuisance. My hometown newspaper now includes a "Deer Accidents" section in its police report because of all the people who hit deer on daily basis. But, like someone else said, thin 'em out, but give the meat to charity or whatever.
