You'll find rabbits just about anywhere there is tall grass or brush. Anywhere you see honeysuckle growing is a good bet. Big briar patches or brushpiles are good. Even a fence row out in the middle of an open field might be a good spot. If you are just starting out, i would suggest getting a pair of carhart coveralls. They are made of thick material that is needed if you are going to wade thru briars and brush. That's what you have to do it you don't havea beagle, or even if you do. The key is to cover all the ground and stomp or kick at anything that looks like there might be a rabbit there. If there is, you'll often find out pretty quick.Of course, its much easier if there is some snow on the ground and you can see them scampering out ahead of you.
