that sounds pretty good to be able to sell wild hog for 2-3 bucks a pound. I think I mentioned it before that I grew up on a hog farm and i know for sure that there was now way that those hogs brought that kinda of money at market. Is it the fact that it is wild that brings that kind of money. Sounds like a easier way to make a buck than raising farm hogs, more fun for sure! It does sound like a good way to get the wife to agree to let ya go hunting if she knows she is going to get a few dollars in return!
Here in Tampa, FL. we have over 300,000 Cubans and over 100,000 Asians that love Wild Pork for pit roasting over the holdays, some even buy two! WE have even sold some 75 and 80 pounders for $4 a pound. A week before Xmas, the phone does'nt stop ringing!
