Actually, I think the deer are bedded down in the field during the day. There's tall grass and alot of cover like scattered pines and shrubs for them to hide in. I was walking around and found plenty of spots where the snow was melted away. This makes it tricky because the bedding area and the food are right next to eachother. I really can't be picky this time of year though because it's my only hunting spot that has a primary food source like this. Oh, there's also no hardwood trees in the field either so I'm stuck on the ground hiding behind a bush or just sitting 10 feet up on the branches of a pine.
