Got one Saturday thanks to TC Cheap Shots!!!
I got large doe on Saturday at about 20 yards with my MDM stainless Quicshooter, Thompson Center .50 cal. Cheap Shots sabots and 100 grains loose Cleanshot. Gave my brother my AAP ffg when he was in so I had to use some older ffg Cleanshot when sighting in and while hunting. The powder still worked great. I would highly recommend the Cheap Shots to anyone who doesnt want to spend alot of dough and if their rifle will shoot them accurately. If one doesnt know, the Cheap Shots are a saboted, 240 grain all lead hollow point bullet. There is 20 to a pack and I paid only 3.99 for them from Cabela's. Now on to the hunt. I hit the doe behind the front left shoulder dead center of her body. It angled back out of her right side. She only ran about 45 yards. When I field dressed her the damage to the lungs was extensive. For such a cheap bullet it had lots of performance. My brother had used these to take deer in North Carolina so I tried them. I am impressed. Not only do they perform, they are accurate as any other bullet and sabot combo I have tried. Has any other person used these with the same results?
