I doubt many processors would even take a deerthat had antlers they had to be responsible for. I can't lay all the blame on thebutcher for this one.
The butcher I go to people leave their racks on all the time, if you are going to have it mounted they cape it out for you and you pick it up when you pick up your meat, if you are not going to mount it they normally cut it off before you leave. I have seen some real monsters hanging in the cooler.
I definitly lay the blame on the butcher, they are in the business of customer service so
it is their responsibility to take the best posible care of your product.
