RE: One BAD Day
I noticed it too, mdbohuntr. And I'm hoping the reason is that most of us "old timers" aren't going to get sucked in to what I think The Mouse accurately picked up on! Maybe not Koontzy in the flesh, but very much in the spirit!
There's too much here that simply could not have happened: If you drill a doe behind the shoulders, causing her to "high-kick" -- meaning most probably a heart shot -- and she leaves bright, red blood for 150 yards, and then another 75 yards ...? Ahem. I'm sorry; I don't believe that. Period.
And I think some others pointed out the time discrepancies. Here were his original plans:
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote<font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> My buddy is going to hunt out of my climber next to where I took the doe yesterday. I on the other hand have to pick up another hunting buddy to hunt with the rest of the week.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>
But yet he somehow found the missing deer when he wasn't even going to look for them!
This is either a rookie poster wanting to get some attention, or fit in (I think he found out this is not the way to do it), or get everyone's feathers ruffled (which he did). But it's not someone who respects wildlife, nor -- I suspect -- someone who respects the truth.
