RE: KIMBER: MONTANA???
Update....
Although I know Kimber is responsible to fix the problem, I wanted my gunsmith to look at it before I sent it to Kimber. I took it last weekend & he told me that the magazine spring was "mush". I left it with him for a week & he put a new spring in ($15) total. It now cycles nice.
Cleraly Kimber still has some "kinks" to work out in their production process. Given a couple of years of production, I feel their 8400 montana will be everything they say it is. After checking another forum, I discovered that these problems I had are common right now. I good friend of mine in Alaska just picked up a .325 WSM Montana & his doesn't have any of the problems mine had.
My advise:
1) I would buy a Kimber Montana
2) Try the trigger in the store. If they don't let you, go somewhere else.
3) Try to cycle some cartridges in the store.
