No I would never sit on top of a hill looking down anywhere.

When you're actually on top of a hill you are easily siloutted against the sky which allows any game to easily spot you.

A better position is always going to be a slightly lower position, just below the peak.

Yes they love clear cuts because the leaves they couldn't reach when the trees were standing - are now down on their level (atleast some of them anyway).
