RE: Got some pics of a nice buck in my yard
LOL
I find it hillarious that this whole loaded gun & hunting hours comment is being beaten to death when I haven't even addressedor attempted to defend it (which I won't). I readily admit I never finished my thought on that OFF Topic comment. It was used as a feable attempt to defend illegal activity by atlasman, and I finished the post prematurely, and if given the chance to respond; I readily admit I failed to word it properly. I DO know the law; thank you.
My point has been from the beginning; That it is never "right" to break the law; Regardless of ones intentions. By definition; breaking the law is ALWAYS wrong. If I find a crippled / wounded Doe in the woods and dispatch her to end her suffering - Many (myself included) would say it was the right thing to do; However, its STILL Illegal and therefore wrong. Few would fault me for it, but its still wrong. Do you understand what I'm getting at?
Atlas (whether supposedly joking or not) tried to defend breaking the law and that he "was" doing the right thing. The tone of his posts have certainly changed since then. These deer are now not the vicious shrub destroying beasts at $2,000 / year that he initially portrayed them as. My opinions started when he denied specificallyfeeding the deer. Personally I find the whole situation sad, and see little difference between these "pets" and the ones raised behind high fenses - both are pathetic excuses for wild game and are primarily dependent on human handouts.
Fact, He's breaking the law
Fact, he lied about it (joking or otherwise)
Fact, he tried to defend it
As I said before, if he admitted what he was doing was wrong and owned it from the beginning, this post would be very different. Posting pictures of illegal activity simply makes light of the law and says what he's doing is ok.
Thats my opinion.
