I have a model 16 in 270 wsm. The accu-trigger works well and the gun is fun to shoot. I agree with Red Allison on the muzzlebrake and your choice of caliber. The recoil on my gun is comparable to a 30-06.....just a little sharper is the way I describe it. It is definately not a problem to shoot, so I really don't think you would need a brake. When I bought mine I considered the 7mm wsm but the ammo was harder to find and a few local dealers steered me towards the 270 or 300 wsm. My local Wal Mart carries multiple offerings for the 300 and 270 wsm but none for the 7mm. I would highly recommend the Savage rifle and I will not hesitate to buy another in the future.
