The 7MM WSM is dead where I live too. From what I read, its main fault is that the longer bullets like the 175 grainers must be seated to deep to function and rob powder space in the case. With the lighter bullets it is the equal of the 7MM Rem Mag but with heavy bullets, it falls well short. Anyway the 270 and 300 WSM are alive and well.
