Well I was 1 for 2 tonight with the muzzleloader, unfortunately the 1 was a doe I shot at 4:00 PM at 100 yards right through the heart, the 2nd was a nice 8 pt buck that was in the 110 to 120 class[:@]Don't know what happened after I shot the doe I reloaded and stayed put,45 minutes later does started filtering out of the woods and the the nice buck came out,I shot him at about 80 yards and thought he was down, but after the smoke cleared I went to were he was and no buck.I did a fast search but it was now getting dark so I took care of the doe and went home to eat and get a light.I returned after about 2 hours and found very little blood only pin size drops.I traked him for about 500 yards and If there was no snow I wouldn't even be able to see blood. He's alive and well I think I just grazed his brisket,This was the same buck I missed opening week when I shot the branch.I think this deer was ment to live to see another year!Well good luck everyone and great work to all that have scored.I have a couple hunts left before the season ends next Tues. and with this severly cold weather we are having and I believe a couple of does in heat maybe I'll get a wack at another good one.Stay safe and have fun
