I put a Leupold Var X II 3-9x40 on my Tikka 695 Deluxe in 338 Win Mag. I bought the rifle in 1998 and its still as accurate today as when I first put the scope on it.

Can save a few bucks putting a VX II, which is the older Vari X III and you'd have a better scope then my set up. For moose in Canada, a 2-7 or 3-9 is more than enough magnification.
