IF you are shooting 777, that's THEbig cause of thecrud ring in the bore. 777 IS CRUDDY!! I stoppedshooting 777 for that very reason (among others!)

IF you're shooting 777, change powder! Use American Pioneer or Black Mag 3. Even Pyrodex leaves less fouling in the bore than 777! BUT Pyrodex is harder to clean up after shooting, since you can't just wash it out with cold water.
