Default W V second day success!

Got a late start this morning. By the time I climbed in my tree stand it was nearly 7:20. The wind made it chilly, and the deer were a little more active this morning. 42 degrees at my car.

- 7:20, arrive on stand
- 7:25 that same squirrel drops an acorn on my stand, scaring the crap outta me
- 7:45 a small doe or button walks about 75 yards away
- 8:15 a nice 6 point meanders around for a bit, but I did not see it in time to stand up.
8:35 a nice doe enters the bedding thicket 45 yards away.
- 9:00 I grunt 5 times.
- 9:03 A 14" 7 point tries to sneak up on me but I see him in time and get in position.
- 9:05 32 yard double lung shot. He goes 10 yards and drops.

- 11:00 He is checked in, pictures have been taken (to be developed tomorrow), and is hanging.
- 1:28 This happy hunter is still smiling from ear to ear.

He was a 2.5 year old 7 point,14" wide,6" tines, 18" main beams, dressed out at 146 pounds. He was trying to grow a 5th point on the right side. The left side only had 3 points, but they were a little longer, and the left brow tine was about an inch longer than the right. The muzzy left a 1" hole and there wasnt much lung left.

Equipment used:
Hoyt Havoc, 30" 60 lbs. @ 220 fps
Carbon Express Terminator Hunter 60-75 shafts, 30" 541 grains.
Whisker Bisquit rest
Muzzy 100 grain realtree camo 4 blade broadheads. (it will be used again on my next deer. Its still in perfect conditon)
Tru Ball release.
Wrist gaurd.
Realtree Camo coveralls.

Thanks for listening to me rant, but this is my best bow buck ever. Im debating on whether or not to get him mounted. Have to talk to the financial decision maker first. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
