I am not sure what power would be best but make sure it is A good quality scope with alot of eye relief I had a Tikka T3 lite stainless in 7mm-08 A pretty mild cartridge and it would rattle your teeth with factory loads. My dad hunts elk withA 338 Win Mag. he uses a 6x Leupold I hope this info. helps chad
