Default RE: Got some pics of a nice buck in my yard

ORIGINAL: RMQ

This is getting out of hand quickly;
First I fail to see where the number of posts a person has could possibly correlate to the validity of their opinion
Because you don't know anything about the people you are throwing opinions at........all the things you are griping about have been covered in this forum for years now..........stick around and learn a little bit about people here before you go assuming to know them or what they are about.

you just have way more computer time available than I do.
Sorry for owning a computer and a cable modem.

I know lots of wind bags who like to comment on everything; however, that doesn't mean they are anymore right or wrong than the next guy, they just like to talk a lot.
Nice of you to start off your presence in the forums by tossing insults at people you know nothing about......what did you say earlier about "Says a lot about someone's ethics"???

The way I see it, with the possibility of CWD becoming a very serious issue in NY; i feel its a poor choice to feed deer right now till we know how bad the problem is.
Are you gonna pay for the damage to my yard every year??

Unless the deer are now dependent upon human supplimental feeding and are tame pets, they would move on if you stopped feeding them;
Once again you don't know what you are talking about...........there is no where for them to "move on" to. Something that has been posted MANY times in the past and you would know if you had been here longer.

especially this early in winter after they finished off your shrubs of course.
Then what do you propose I do??.....Plant another $2,000 worth of shrubs and trees for them to eat next year before they "move on"?? or should I just live in an empty yard devoid of all vegetation???

However, my issue was with you not only feeding deer illegally; but the fact that you posted the evidence for your own prossecution as if you are above the law or something
Yea.......that's what I was doing ..........get a clue man. I was posting some pics of a nice buck on a forum where people like to see nice bucks. Anything else you dreamed up is your problem.

and then when i confronted you on it you tried to lie and cover it up; then make excuses for it.
Where did I lie??

**If you had simply said "I know its illegal, but my landscaping bill is killing me..." I could have respected THAT, and just thought that you were crazy for posting the evidence. **
Here's a hint fella.........like I said stick around awhile and you will learn more. I have said that numerous times for years now. You are just arriving in the middle of the movie and don't know what you missed.

If you were ticketed tommorow for feeding deer, how would you plead?
Not gonna happen.............my neighbor 2 houses down is a cop. He would have to stop his wife from doing it first

I hope you would own up to it and plead guilty. Hunters have enough problems in this Liberal state without more headlines about hunters / people feeding deer illegally.
Wow.........you are REALLY grasping at straws.

Poachers, tresspassers ect... all have excuses and justifications for what they do and it still doesn't make it legal / right. Thats all i was saying.
Yea.......it's exactly the same as that

This could have played out a lot differently if you owned up to it instead of blaiming it on your bird feeders.
When did I blame my birdfeeders?? You really should read more carefully.

By the way, its legal to sit in your stand anytime you want; you just can't shoot before or after legal hours. Believe me, i know law.
Have a great day.
Apparently you don't
To hunt—means to pursue, shoot, kill or capture (other than trap) wildlife and includes all lesser acts that disturb or worry wildlife whether or not they result in taking. Hunting also includes all acts to assist another person in taking wildlife.
When you are in your stand with a weapon you are hunting.........whether or not you shoot has nothing to do with it.

Go sit in the woods in the middle of summer with your shotgun loaded with slugs and see if a game officer cares when you say "I didn't shoot anything"
