I`ve been doing it for years with no problems at all. UsuallyafterI butcher my deer, I freeze everything and when I am ready to make sausage for example, I then take out the venison, thaw it, mix with pork and spices, make my sausage(Italian or garlic)and then back in the freezer. Works for me.
