? for you scent elimination gurus
OK so I shoot this nice doe last night right. I see her go down so I give her 2 hrs and get on the trail. Half way to her I have to pee and I mean PEE! So I whip it out and take care of buisness knowing that I am not hunting in there for another week or so anyway. Then I continue on to find my doe. Alast there she is, only to find out that I have no knife on me. Now we walk back to the truck to get it. Well I head out of the swamp to the west, my truck is to the east but it is much easier walking that way. Only to find no knife. Oh thats right I put it in my pack (which is still up in the tree) so iI head back to my stand, grab the knife and once again follow the blood/foot tracks in the snow. I get to where nature called and now there is not 1 but 3 pee holes in the snow, with fresh deer tracks in front of them. From the first time i passed through here to now is maybe 45 minutes. So back to my question. Why do we worry about scent controll as much as we do, if these dang deer dont seem to bother with fresh human urine? Not only that they seem to cover it up like dogs would or on a scrape.
