I haven't had much experience with the ML, haven't tried different things. I shoot 250 gr. Hornady SST Lock-N-Load Speed Sabot with 150 gr. 777 pellet charge. Good out to 200 yds. Rifle like consistency at 50 and 100 yds. Haven't seen the T/C Shockwaves but I guess they are the same thing as the Hornady SST's
