RE: i fanily got my bow now what extras should i get
One thing you need to remember, most of the stuff out there is good, example releases, I think they are all good regardless of brand or style but personal preference is important. My Trufire release has worked flawlessly for over 11 years now. I'm sure Scott and other brands are similar. That said IMO here are some things you should look at.
Rest: Whisker bisquit. Strong, sturdy, trustworthy. Have someone help you get it set up and you should be good to go. Regardless of what some people on here say about them, they are great rests.
Sight: I like my Montana Black Gold sight. It is rock solid and hasn't moved since I set it five years ago. However there are others that are just as good.
arrows: I think you will have good luck with carbons. Beman IBO hunters are very popular and good. I shoot Carbon Express and like them. Many really like Gold Tips. I think they are all pretty similar.
Broadheads: IMO go with a fixed three blade like a muzzy, or Nap Thunderhead, possibly a newer style like a slick-trick as well. Mechanicals, while good just seem to have a few more drawbacks than I'd like, I switched back to fixed blade after last season.
Practice more than you think you need to. Enjoy.
