I might have you beat Rob...

..not that I am proud of that or anything. My neighbor, Eric, was hunting close to home on opening day this year and was fortunate enough to shoot a nice doe about 60 yards from his stand. The deer stumbled a bit and then fell down over a log out of sight of my neighbor. As it did he heard two shots in quick succession from a hunter he knew was about 100 yards away in a treestand.
Ericwent to the spot where he saw the deer fall over the log and found plenty of blood and drag marks. As he visually followed the drag marks he saw the other hunter
running with the doe towards his stand.Eric started after him and began calling "Hey Buddy"..."Hey Buddy". Only when the guy reached his stand did he drop the deer and turn back towards my neighbor. He "innocently" asked whatEric wanted and my neighbor laid into him for shooting a downed deer. The "hunter" stated that he still saw it kicking so he thought he would finish it off.
In the end my neighbor let him have the doe as he had already filled one of his tags back in archery but, boy, was he ticked.
